A caller reported someone hit her car while she was working at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday at Floor and Decor, 180 Main St. A dispatched officer reported minor damage that may have come from a shopping cart.
A caller reported his car was struck by a carriage in the parking lot causing damage to the left headlight at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 770 Broadway.
A caller reported she believed she struck an animal at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday on the Lynn Fells Parkway. Dispatched officers confirmed the woman struck a deer, and her car sustained minor damage. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation was notified, but stated it was the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s jurisdiction. DCR reports they only respond if the involved party wants to claim the deer. The town department of public works reported it is state jurisdiction and will not pick up the deer.
A caller reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle that left the scene at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday at Bank of America, 1093 Broadway. A dispatched officer reported the vehicle was not damaged and the caller has all the information they need and will go through insurance.
A caller reported her vehicle appeared to have been struck by another vehicle at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 770 Broadway.
A caller reported a white work truck struck her parked vehicle at 3:26 a.m. Thursday at 96 Adams Ave.
Complaints
The fire department reported flooding by the bridge at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton Street and Riverbank Road. Dispatched officers reported being forced to close the road on both sides. The Department of Public Works was notified for flooding and a dumpster in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.
A report of flooding in the road at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday at Seagirt Avenue. The road was clear by 2:39 p.m. Wednesday.
A caller from 103 Adams Ave. and 109 Adams Ave. reported the resident at 3 Beech St. is purposely setting off his car alarm, and claimed it has been an ongoing issue all summer at 6:02 a.m. at 33 Beech St. A dispatched officer spoke with the man who admitted to turning on his car alarm purposely due to his neighbor letting his dog out. He has agreed to turn the alarm off.
Hazard
A caller reported being stuck in a large puddle at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday at the Route 1 Northbound On-Ramp at Walnut Street. A dispatched officer reported the puddle was 2-3 feet deep, and towing was requested for two vehicles.
Thefts
A manager at Kasabuski Hockey Rink reported someone broke a lock and made entry to one of the garages at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday at 201 Forest St. A dispatched officer reported an unknown person made entry by disabling the key.
A resident walked into the police station at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday to report she may have fallen victim to a scam at Gamestop, 1277 Broadway.
A report of a female party detained for shoplifting at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday at Macy’s Department Store, Square One Mall, 1201 Broadway.
