SAUGUS

Accident

A report of a motor vehicle collision at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at Main Street and Pearce Memorial Drive.

Disturbance

A manager at Wood Spring Extended Stay reported a group of people in a room smashed a window and they believed there was drug activity taking place at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at 832 Broadway. Dispatched officers reported the parties would be getting in an uber and leaving.

A caller reported an unwanted male causing a disturbance at the Stop & Shop Customer Care Center at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday at 164 Main St. The party left prior to police arrival.
Suspicious

A caller reported a man pulled into the parking lot at Mobil Station in Cliftondale Square in a blue Kia and appeared to hide from her as she closed the business at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday at 2 Essex St. A dispatched officer reported the party was sent on their way and the business appeared secure. 

Security at Square One Mall reported there are four vehicles parked under the garage near the Macy’s entrance, that appear to be drinking at 1:19 a.m. Wednesday at 1201 Broadway. Dispatched officers reported the vehicles departed when they arrived. 

A caller reported there was a man walking around Square One Mall dropping “movie money” causing a disturbance at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday at 1201 Broadway. 

A caller reported a female causing a disturbance in the lobby at Convenient MD and refusing to leave at 5:28 p.m. Wednesday at 156 Main St. 

A caller reported two men wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with jeans and a grey hooded

sweatshirt with jeans on her back porch stairs at 8:11 p.m. Wednesday at 23 Jackson St. When the caller asked the men what they were doing, they said they were looking for Essex Street. Dispatched officers performed an area check but were unable to locate the men. 

Square One Mall security requested police to move along a silver sedan parked on the top floor of the parking structure at 1:22 a.m. Thursday at 1201 Broadway. The vehicle was stopped near Macy’s, and mall security was notified and agreed to the car staying in the lot overnight. 

Thefts

A walk-in report of larceny by check at 12:54 p.m. Wednesday at 16 Vermont Ave. 

A report of shoplifting at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at Foot Locker, Square One Mall, 1277 Broadway.
