5 Fabulous Hotel Pools With Day Passes
Share This

THERE’S SOMETHING wonderfully gratifying about the disappearing act you can pull off at a hotel pool. Pull the brim of your hat down low, grab your biggest Jackie O sunglasses and bring along a deliciously good book, and you’ve got everything you need to check out from the world for a while. The best part? You can achieve this escape without ever leaving your hometown. From Nashville to Dallas, we’ve rounded up five of the loveliest hotel pools offering day-pass access, which will let you sneak in for a day of hooky anytime you need a staycation this summer. If one’s near you, just dive right in.

Virgin Hotels

Nashville

The Pool Club sits 14 floors up atop Virgin Hotels’ Nashville location, and offers enough temptations, from fried chicken at brunch to DJs spinning tracks at night, to stick around for hours.

How to book: Reserve a $100 daybed Monday through Wednesday through Seven Rooms (you’ll also need to spend at least $100 on food or drinks). See the Pool Club’s website for additional options, including private cabanas for up to eight.

The Joule

Dallas

With its cantilevered rooftop pool, the Joule offers an eye-popping spot to escape responsibility for a while, making it easy to sip on a coconut margarita while you watch the crowds below on Main Street. Don’t forget to wear your cutest suit; the glass edge means the crowds are looking right back.

How to book: Reserve ahead through 1530main.com. Day passes, $50, include valet and pool access from noon to 7 p.m. Daybeds and cabanas are available upon arrival, based on availability.

The Beverly Hilton

The Beverly Hilton

Beverly Hills

Few hotel pools are as iconic as the Aqua Star Pool at the Beverly Hilton, which completed a $35 million renovation last year. Channel your inner celebrity by reserving a lounge chair for yourself or bring your crew and book a four-person cabana. If you get hungry, the hotel’s Mercato offers grab-and-go sandwiches, salads and pizzas. However you choose to enjoy it, get ready to people-watch. Who knows who might swim along?

How to book: Day passes for adults start at $65, and cabanas start at $400. Both can be booked through resortpass.com.

The Chloe

New Orleans

Trade in New Orleans’s souplike heat for a refreshing dip at the Chloe’s pool. The tony boutique hotel from the team behind some of New Orleans’s favorite bars and restaurants is tucked into the oak tree-lined St. Charles Avenue, and it offers classic poolside cocktails like daiquiris and Bahama Mamas, plus snacks from the kitchen run by chef Todd Pulsinelli. Swing by for happy hour from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

How to book: Reserve a chaise longue for one for $40 or a table for four for $80 through Resy. Reservations open daily and include a cocktail with entry.

The Line

The LINE

Austin

The infinity saltwater pool tucked beneath the LINE, a midcentury hulk of a building, sits just above Town Lake. Day passes include free parking and Wi-Fi access, making it a little easier to “work from home” when necessary, and the poolside snacks come compliments of Veracruz All Natural, one of the city’s most popular food truck operators, offering tacos, quesos and fresh juices. There’s also an all-day happy hour Monday through Thursday.

How to book: Day passes run $40 for adults and $25 for children Mon. through Thurs., and $65 for adults and $25 for children on Sundays. Drop in, or book ahead through resortpass.com.
