VACCINE INTERVAL
In the absence of the Omicron-specific vaccines, extending the vaccination period between doses may contribute to stopping the rapid emergence of this COVID-19 mutation, said a new study.
For the three-shot protein-subunit vaccine ZF2001, researchers found that neutralizing antibody levels rose with the increasing interval between the second and third doses, especially against the Omicron subvariants.
TRADEMARKS
The number of valid registered trademarks in China exceeded 40 million by the end of June, up 20.9 percent year on year, the country’s top intellectual property regulator said at a Tuesday press conference.
By the end of June, market entities from over 200 countries or regions had registered trademarks in China, with those from the United States, Japan, Germany, Britain and the Republic of Korea topping the list.
5G TECHNOLOGY
The number of 5G mobile users in China had reached 428 million by the end of May, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on Tuesday.
The improved network infrastructure has laid a solid foundation for the development of the digital economy, the ministry said, adding that 5G technology has been widely applied in all walks of life, boosting the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.
