BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) — The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.
QUANTUM COMPUTING CLOUD PLATFORM
China released a new generation of a quantum computing cloud platform, which enables researchers to perform complex computational tasks in the cloud and the public to experience quantum computing at the speed of microseconds.
The platform, jointly developed by the Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences, the Institute of Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tsinghua University, was released at the ongoing 2023 Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing.
QINGHAI-TIBET PLATEAU
Human activities have had little impact on the ecological environment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, known as “the roof of the world,” according to a scientific assessment report released on Saturday.
The assessment work was led by academician Chen Fahu from the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It took a team of over 100 researchers four years to complete.
SINO-GERMAN SCI-TECH FORUM
The third Sino-German Sci-tech Forum has been held in Quanzhou, east China’s Fujian Province. The forum attracted more than 200 participants from the two countries.
Three parallel forums at the event focused on the primary areas for Sino-German cooperation, including the digital economy and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and automobile industry development, life sciences, and new medicine.
