Terms of Service
Effective date: 9 October 2026. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of pressheadliner.com (the “Site”), a headline-first news digest published by 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States (“Press Headliner”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The Service
Press Headliner provides a publicly accessible digest of United States news: headlines, stories, briefings, explainers, images, and related editorial material (collectively, “Content”). The Service is provided for general information. News develops; stories may be updated or corrected after publication, and earlier versions may not remain available. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You may use the Site only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You agree not to: misuse or interfere with the Site’s operation, security, or infrastructure; attempt unauthorised access to administrative systems or other users’ data; scrape, crawl, or harvest Content at a scale or in a manner that burdens the Site or circumvents technical measures; reproduce, republish, or redistribute Content except as permitted by Section 3; submit false, unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing material through any form; impersonate any person or entity; or use the Site to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages. We may restrict or terminate access for any violation.
3. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
The Content, the Press Headliner name and branding, the digest structure, and all site design and code are owned by 24World Media or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and print Content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with clear attribution to Press Headliner and a link to the original page. Any other reproduction — including republication, syndication, commercial distribution, or training of machine-learning systems on our Content at scale — requires prior written permission, available through our syndication service described on the Services page. Copyright notices and attribution must not be removed.
4. User Submissions
Through the Contact page you may submit messages, correction requests, news tips, documents, and other material (“Submissions”). You retain ownership of your Submissions but grant Press Headliner a worldwide, royalty-free licence to receive, review, store, and use Submissions for editorial purposes, including verification and, where agreed or lawfully reportable, publication with appropriate protection of confidential sources. You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights. Confidential news tips are handled under our editorial standards; submission of a tip does not create any obligation to publish, pay, or keep a story confidential beyond those standards and applicable shield protections.
5. Corrections and Editorial Standards
Editorial decisions — story selection, headline ranking, emphasis, and timing — are made solely by Press Headliner’s editors under our Code of Ethics. Requests for correction are governed by our Corrections policy; agreement to these Terms does not guarantee any particular editorial outcome. Opinions expressed in clearly labelled opinion or sponsored material are those of their authors or sponsors and not of Press Headliner.
6. Advertising and Sponsored Content
The Site carries advertising and clearly labelled sponsored content. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for their own material and claims. The presence of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement by Press Headliner or 24World Media of any product, service, or advertiser. Sponsored content is identified as sponsored at the point of display.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site links to third-party websites and may embed third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or availability. Following an external link is at your own risk. References to organisations, products, or services in news coverage are for reporting purposes and do not imply endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. News reporting involves judgement under deadline; while we verify against primary sources and correct errors under our Corrections policy, we do not warrant that all Content is complete, current, or error-free at every moment. Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice — including legal, medical, financial, or safety advice — and you should consult qualified professionals and official sources for decisions in those areas. During emergencies, follow instructions from official authorities over any news summary.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Press Headliner, 24World Media, and their respective directors, editors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Press Headliner and 24World Media from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party’s rights, except to the extent caused by our own wilful misconduct.
11. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
If you believe Content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice through our Contact page marked “Legal Notice” containing: identification of the copyrighted work; the URL of the allegedly infringing material; your contact details; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act. We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material and observe the counter-notification process provided by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where applicable consumer law grants you a mandatory right to proceed elsewhere. Before filing suit, the party raising a dispute agrees to attempt good-faith resolution by written notice describing the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance. If a revision materially affects your rights, we will draw attention to it on this page.
14. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings about its use. Notices to us should be sent through the Contact page or by post to 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States.
15. Accounts and Subscriptions
Reading Press Headliner requires no account. If we introduce optional accounts, alert subscriptions, or memberships in future, additional terms may apply to those features and will be presented at sign-up. You are responsible for the accuracy of details you provide with any subscription and for activity conducted through any credentials issued to you. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and does not retroactively alter completed billing periods except where applicable law requires.
16. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Site or our coverage, you grant us a royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided that news tips and confidential source material are always handled under our editorial standards rather than this clause. Story ideas submitted by readers may be pursued independently; submission alone creates no ownership interest in any resulting coverage.
17. Assignment and Severability of Specific Clauses
We may assign these Terms and our rights under them in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of the publication, provided the assignee assumes the obligations herein. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Headings are for convenience only. References to “including” mean “including without limitation”. The English-language version of these Terms controls over any translation, which is provided for convenience only.
18. Electronic Communications
By using the contact form or any subscription feature, you consent to receive electronic communications from us in response, including administrative messages about your enquiry or subscription. Marketing communications, if ever sent, will always carry a working unsubscribe mechanism honoured promptly, and the absence of consent to marketing never affects your access to the news.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part and without notice, where we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created a security or legal risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive any termination of access. You may stop using the Site at any time; doing so does not affect obligations already incurred, including licences granted for Submissions already received.
